NIKE WOMEN’S 10K & THEN SOME

image

Collective movement. 10000 ladies and a couple of laps of Victoria Park. A debut into
running for some women, and a special thing for that. Whilst I thought the long running
of late would have rinsed the speed from my legs, I managed a 6th place and was thankful to have been pulled along for sections of it with the company of some of my speedy RDC sisters. As this weekend marked three weeks until Race to the Stones, more miles needed to be had. These were clocked by nattering along the canal with our ultra ladies, sole exploring, and included taking a break with a crisp buttie, I’m not ashamed to say. 31 miles altogether, and the last long ass run before Race to the Stones. Strangely enough, I won’t feel too happy to
see these miles go.
